For those of you who've watched the renovations of old castles and churches under the often dubious eyes of Kevin McLeod and then thought "what a waste -when you see an old church lying abandonned or turned into a theme-pub- I bet they wouldn't allow that in a country like Italy." You're right. But that's not to say that in a country where the church does own a considerable amount of the property and land that it's not either enterprising when it comes to reusing its stock of Castles, hovels and de-concecrated halls of worship.
And sat atop one of the Umbrian hills is this magnificent medieval tower-complex that now (like those in many of it's neighbouring towns) has not been left to rot be re-invogorated and reused as homes for people. Ordinary people, families.
